Last week we held the first Bestyrelseskvinder (Female Board Members) member meeting in Aarhus.
Martin Jørgensen from Capidea visited us and gave an insight into how Capidea recruits and selects board members. He provoked, inspired and set goals for a really good dialogue and many critical issues.
Martin confirmed, that boards, that are more diverse in their composition, contribute to better results. At the same time he challenged us – he encouraged us to show and present more our professional and personal competencies as well as the value we are able to bring to a board of directors. He recommended to come more in contact with those, who recruit candidates for board positions. We challenged him, too, and recommended to open up for recruitment based on specific competences and less based on the position candidates hold.
All in all, a really exciting evening in our Aarhus-based network group.
